Yes, the fish was pretty tasty. It definitely impressed my birthday guest.

The lobster was fluffy and flavorful, although it slightly overwhelmed the smallish-bass into which it was stuffed. Enoki and ponzu a bit on the briny side for my taste. Still above average overall.

Located in midtown’s CBS headquarters, this grandiose Asian fusion eatery still attracts expense-accounters and power players. Granite walls, a handsome backlit bar, and elaborate Japanese lantern-like light fixtures emanate an upscale vibe. The food, while a relic of the fusion-crazed nineties, has retained the ability to impress. Some age-old favorites are the Peking duck salad in tangerine orange dressing, and the inventive tempura sashimi. Don’t let the prices scare you too much—portions are meant to be shared.
